Adaptive Two-Level Blocking Coordinated Checkpointing for High Performance ClusterComputing Systems


Cluster computing is a system, which consists of a server node and multiple client nodes connected via Ethernet or some other network topology where each node is an individual PC or Workstation and where the nodes work together to solve a computational problem concurrently or in parallel.
Basically there are 3 types of clusters, Fail-over, Load-balancing and HIGH Performance Computing, The most deployed ones are probably the Failover cluster and the Load-balancing Cluster. Fail-over Clusters consist of 2 or more network connected computers with a separate heartbeat connection between the 2 hosts.
