• Systematic problem solving which identifies variables and tests relationships between them, • Collecting, organizing and evaluating data. • Logical, so procedures can be duplicated or understood by others • Empirical, so decisions are based ondata collected • Reductive, so it investigates a small sample which can be generalized to a larger • population • Replicable, so others may test thefindings by repeating it. • Discovering new facts or verify and test old facts. • Developing new scientific tools, concepts and theories, this would facilitate to take decision.
